THE much awaited reshuffle of the men's doubles squad came to light at Juara Stadium as the new pairings led by Goh V Shem-Teo Kok Siang began a three-day internal ranking trial yesterday.
In fact, the new combinations were confirmed on Saturday but BA of Malaysia (BAM) president Tengku Mahaleel Tengku Ariff refused to announce the changes.
V Shem's former partner Lim Khim Wah was paired off with Ow Yao Han while the two-time world junior champion had parted ways with Chooi Kah Ming.
Kah Ming will combine with Teo Ee Yi while the latter's former partner Nelson Heg has been paired off with Tan Wee Gieen.
The other new pairs are Yew Hong Kheng-Tan Yip Jiun and Tai An Khang-Low Juan Shen.
All the six new pairs will be playing in the Malaysian International Challenge in Kuching on Nov 12-17 while there is a possibility V Shem-Kok Siang could replace Kien Keat-Boon Heong for the Sea Games as the senior pair are expected to compete in the Super Series Finals in December.
